Additional Property Attributes

The subject property was developed between 1906 and 1908 with stores and a stable in the eastern portion. An office was constructed in the southern-central portion between 1908 and 1910, a store and apartment building was constructed in the western portion in 1910, and the eastern building was expanded with northern apartments and an additional storefront between 1910 and 1916. Additional stores were constructed in the southwestern portion in 1914, a garage was constructed in the eastern-central portion in 1919, and a warehouse addition was constructed to the western-central building in 1919. A gasoline service station was constructed in the central portion in 1925. The office and garage in the eastern-central portion were demolished between 1921 and 1929 and an automotive service garage was constructed in the northern portion between 1937 and 1942, which was demolished between 1942 and 1949. The eastern-central portion was occupied by a used car lot from at least 1927 to 1942. The stores were historically occupied by grocery stores, retail stores, salons, pharmacies, and bakeries. In addition, a southeastern store was occupied by a radiator repair company from at least 1927 to 1961 and a southwestern store was occupied by a tailor and laundry facility from at least 1927 to 1937 and a dry cleaner from at least 1946 to 1954. The eastern building was demolished in 1961, the gasoline service station and westernmost building were demolished in 1971, and a restaurant building was constructed in the eastern portion in 1971. The remaining western-central building and eastern restaurant building were demolished between 2002 and 2005 and the property has consisted of vacant land since that time.
