Additional Property Attributes

The site consists of five contiguous tax parcels that together comprise approximately 141 acres. The site was first developed with residences or a farm in 1915. By 1952, several buildings were present in the center of the property where the primary dairy farm operations took place, and most of the property was cleared for agricultural (pasture) use. By 1980, some of the dairy buildings had been razed and the dairy appears to have been out of operation. By 2006, nearly all of the property is covered in trees. The operations likely included the diesel fuel storage for use in tractors and other equipment; however, no tank locations could be identified. Cattle dipping processes to remove ticks by dipping or spraying cattle with an arsenic solution may have also occurred. An abandoned Reef Waste-Water Treatment Plant, an EPA Removal Only Site (EPA generator ID No. ALR0000444487), adjoins the property to the southwest. Currently, the site is covered by trees with remnants of most dairy farm structures remaining.
