Property Highlights

The site is located on Liberty Church Road and consists of approximately 12.83 acres of vacant, wooded land. The site is located adjacent to Interstate 75 in the north area of Vienna, Dooly County, Georgia. The site consists of wooded land and an area that was once a small water body in the south area of the site. According to the Dooly County Tax Assessor, the site is owned by the Dooly County Industrial Development Authority. Historical Information In the earliest historical aerial image reviewed (1937), the site appears to be vacant land. The site remains relatively unchanged in the 1948, 1953, 1962, and 1968 aerial photographs. In the 1988 and 1993 aerial photograph, much of the site appears to be wooded. In the 2007 aerial image, the site appears to be mostly wooded with occasional clearings and a detention pond. The site remains relatively unchanged in the 2010, 2013 and 2017 aerial images. Terracon did not identify any RECs associated with the site; therefore, no additional investigation is deemed necessary at this time. Based on the limited desktop review of potential wetlands and/or jurisdictional waters of the U.S. adjacent to the site, Terracon recommends a wetland delineation be performed on the site.

Environmental planning activities were performed the site in May 2024. In May 2024, a wetlands delineation survey was conducted at the site. Terracon's review of topographic maps and National Wetland Inventory (NWI) maps indicated that areas of freshwater forested /shrub wetland are located across the property. One wetland and one pond were identified and mapped for the site. This information will allow the owner to design protections for these areas during the redevelopment planning process.
