Additional Property Attributes

The subject property is currently developed as a retail petroleum station and an automotive repair garage. Both of the buildings on the property are currently vacant and not in use. The store building used for the retail petroleum station was once used as a convenience store, restaurant, laundry drop-off, and small boutique shops. There are currently no shops occupying the spaces on the property. The building used for automotive repairs is also no longer occupied.

Four USTs installed in 1990 remain in-place on the subject property but have been empty and temporarily closed since 2008. Four USTs were removed from the subject property in 1990. Based on the UST closure assessment, ADEM issued incident number UST90-02-23 and required investigation. Following assessment of the subsurface, ADEM issued a No Further Action in 1996. Three additional USTs were removed from either the property or a nearby property in 1998.

The surrounding area is made up of mostly commercial properties that include a health clinic, weight-loss clinic, Dollar General, a retail petroleum station, and small downtown businesses such as a caf�offee shop. There are some residential properties located to the northwest as well. The adjoining properties to the subject property are all developed as commercial.
