Additional Property Attributes

The site consists of approximately 0.33 acres and currently is a vacant petroleum station and auto repair shop. According to the January 2022, Phase I Site Assessment conducted by HGS Engineering, Inc., the site was indicated as a bakery and barbershop on a 1925 Sanborn Map. The site was first developed into a petroleum station with three underground storage tanks (USTs) prior in or prior to 1949. The current 1,680 square-foot building and canopy appears to be the same that indicated on the Sanborn map. Three UST fill ports can be seen on the ground surface at the site and appear concrete-filled or capped. A letter from John T. Davis Oil Company, Inc. indicates the three USTs were filled with sand and concrete. Information requests through ADEM during the Phase I ESA revealed no documentation of UST closure. A large hydraulic lift is located outside and north of the building. Two hydraulic lifts and one floor drain are located within the building maintenance bays. Lead-acid batteries, mercury containing lamps, and two 55-gallon drums containing petroleum were found within the building. The property was redeveloped into the Sinclair Social, a bar, food truck, and entertainment venue who's grand opening was March 16, 2024. https://www.facebook.com/thesinclairsocial/
