Additional Property Attributes

The site is located to the west of Interstate 75 in the southwest area of Unadilla, Dooly County, Georgia. The site consists of approximately 124 acres of farmland. According to the Dooly County Tax Assessor, the site is currently owned by Butler Howard W Estate.

In the earliest historical aerial image reviewed (1937), the site consists of several large plots of farmland throughout with an area of wooded land in the north area. A residential structure is in the east area of the site and an access road to the structure appears running north to south. In the 1949 aerial image, the site consists of mostly farmland with wooded land in the north, an access roadway running north to south in the east, and two structures in the east. In the 1958 aerial image, one structure is in the east area of the site. The site remains relatively unchanged until the 1968 aerial image when the site consists of mostly farmland with some wooded land in the northwest corner, one structure in the east area of the site, and access roadways running north to south and east to west throughout the site. The site remains relatively unchanged, consisting of mostly farmland with some wooded land with a residential structure and access road in the east area of the site until the 1988 aerial image when a small body of water appears in the northwest area of the site where the land is wooded. In the 1993 aerial image, the site remains relatively unchanged besides the structure in the east area of the site. The structure now appears to be smaller, and several other small structures (storage sheds) appear around the structure. The site remains relatively unchanged in the remaining aerial images, consisting of plots of farmland with some wooded land in between and in the northwest area of the site. A small body of water is in the northwest area of the site where the land is wooded, and the residential structure with several storage sheds and access road appear in the east area of the site.

No RECs were identified during the Phase I Site Assessment. The potential impact from wetlands, threatened and endangered species, and cultural resources could effect future development of the site. To assist with redevelopment planning efforts, a wetlands and endangered & threatened species habitat assessments were performed. The information gain from the assessments will allow the coalition members to fully maximize the development of the site.

The potential future use of the site could be that of a business park or manufacturing facility.
