Additional Property Attributes

The property was occupied by two residences and a small outbuilding from 1894 to 1919. Between 1927 to 1937 a private garage and milk depot were added to the property. In addition, a pump house for a pickle salting station is identified in the northwest corner of the property. The residential building was removed between 1941 and 1981. A gas service station operated on the site from 1992 through 2014.

The site was tax delinquent since at least 2014. Beginning in 2021 Fond du Lac County began working with the Village of Campbellsport on a collaborative solution to making the two parcels usable again. Because of this collaboration between the Village and County, on November 19, 2021, Fond du Lac County tax foreclosed on the parcels due to unpaid taxes. On December 14, 2021, Fond du Lac quit claim deeded the site to the Village of Campbellsport. The site is currently vacant, and the Village of Campbellsport would like to investigate the site and clean up any remaining contamination so that the site is ready for redevelopment.
