Additional Property Attributes

The 12.0-acre Site consists of one parcel of land identified by the Fulton County Tax Assessor as parcel 137.16-2-14. The Site is composed of seven buildings constructed between 1906 and the 1950s. The Site is currently owned by Bayer Land Development. There are seven buildings on-site that are currently vacant. The Site was originally developed as early as 1886 as a manufacturer of knitted goods. Occupants have included Higgins Brothers & Kennedy of Maine and the Broadalbin Knitting Company. In 1906, the facility was destroyed by a fire and immediately rebuilt and expanded. Historic Sanborn maps of the Broadalbin Knitting Company show a dyeing building, a coal house, and several storage warehouses, with chemical storage in the dye house.
