Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The site is comprised of six buildings and was formerly used as an oilfield service facility that historically maintained AST's with unknown contents, conducted sandblasting operations, and had an associated auto shop onsite. Based on historical operations and age of buildings onsite, potential contamination associated with historical operations and potential LBP and asbestos are a concern. Based on the historical industrial operations at the site, the April 2023 Phase I ESA recommended further investigation to assess soil and groundwater conditions at the site. LBP and asbestos inspections were also recommended prior to renovations/redevelopment.

Planned Reuse: The site is ideally located with rail and major road access. The City of Eunice has had interest from broadband companies to place a tower on the site to provide much needed service to the community, but broadband companies have expressed concern about potential environmental issues. The City would like to have the property assessed to position it for redevelopment.
