Additional Property Attributes

The subject properties (1004 W. 18th Street and 1746 Belleview Avenue) are residential. Past uses include residential and parkland. Adjacent property uses included a school, two filling stations, and a dry cleaner. Past uses of the properties were mostly residential dwellings from at least 1895. By 1909, the properties were entirely vacant as a result of a roadway change west of the parcels. By 1939, the north and southernmost portion of the Property are labeled as "park" space on the Sanborn Map. A single dwelling is present at 1746 Belleview Avenue. By 1957, a structure appears on the northern portion of the Property. By 1969, this structure is removed, and a new building is present on the northwest corner. The Property appears to remain unchanged through the September 2021 Phase I ESA. The Phase I funded by the Brownfields Program identified the historic use of the nearby fillings stations and dry cleaner as recognized environmental conditions (RECs) necessitating the recommendation of a Phase II ESA.
