Additional Property Attributes

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) completed a Phase I Brownfields Targeted Assessment (BTA) at the Former Pappas Concrete BTA property in Holcomb Kansas. Based on the information collected during the Phase I report, "Recognized Environmental Conditions" were identified as significant potential for contamination on the site due to a known historic a release from a 1,000-gallon diesel underground storage tank (UST), two above-storage tanks (ASTs) without secondary containment or a catch basin, multiple unidentified 55-gallon drums. Significant potential for contamination also exists from an upgradient filling station. Due to the identified RECs, KDHE recommended a Phase II environmental assessment.
