Additional Property Attributes

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) completed a Phase I Brownfields Targeted Assessment (BTA) at the property in Osage City, Kansas. Based on the information collected during the Phase I report, "Recognized Environmental Conditions" were identified as significant potential for contamination due to an onsite historic printing business, as well as offsite adjoining and historic laundry, printing, auto businesses, gasoline storage and a coal heating plant. Due to the identified RECs, KDHE recommended a Phase II environmental assessment.

Business Environmental Risks (BERs) were found during a NESHAP Limited Asbestos and Lead-Based Paint (LBP) Survey. Based on the information collected during the survey, asbestos containing materials (ACMs) as well as lead-based paint were identified.
