Additional Property Attributes

This site, described as "burned, but rebuildable" [structures], consists of three adjacent buildings. Former uses of the site included a clothing store, textiles, hardware store, and furniture store. An asbestos survey was conducted in 2021, with floor tile being the only positive result. A drycleaner facility was located cross-gradient at 315 Gratz Avenue as late as the 1980s. ACM is present in the red and white floor tiles of the building at 304 Main Street. LBP is present in the building at 304 Main Street. A Phase II assessment is recommended to investigate possible contamination in the soil and groundwater from the historic drycleaner at 315 Gratz Avenue. ACM should be removed from the 304 Main Street building by a licensed asbestos abatement contractor and properly disposed prior to building demolition or renovation. Structures containing LBP may be disposed as construction waste if the building is demolished. If the building is renovated, the LBP should be abated by a licensed professional. Two borings were advanced at the site to assess environmental impacts to soil as a result of historic activities at the subject property. No VOCs were detected in either sample. Groundwater was unable to be sampled as refusal was encounterd at 3 feet.
