Additional Property Attributes

According to historical Sanborn Maps, the Subject Property was developed with two small conjoined buildings occupied by a dwelling and office and later an office and storefront from at least 1888 through 1895. Lucas County Auditor records indicate that the current building was constructed in 1897. According to city directories and historical Sanborn Maps for the Subject Property, the building was previously referred to as the Security Bank Building, the Bitz Building, and the Gaines Building. From 1905 through at least 1995, the Subject Property building was primarily used as office and/or retail space for various businesses including: a printing company, banks, jewelers, realty companies, dentists, opticians, insurance companies, reporting services, and lawyers. The Subject Property was listed as being vacant in 2001. From at least 2005 through at least 2013, the Subject Property was used as Club Eclipse and has subsequently been vacant through the time of the site reconnaissance.

Developer is thinking mixed use with retail on first floor and apartments/condos on upper floors.
