Additional Property Attributes

The Site totals approximately 1.8-acres and is comprised of a large asphalt parking lot with bordering areas of vegetation. Access to the Site is made via Pine Street Extension to the north and an unnamed road off Pine Street to the east. The remainder of the Site is vegetated area at the western and southern boundaries, and two mixed use commercial buildings create the northern and eastern Site boundaries.

The Site was vacant until approximately 1890, when construction of Picker Building No. 6 began at the Site to support operations at the north-adjoining Nashua Manufacturing Company. The building was constructed in increments in 1915 and 1924 and included a catwalk connecting it to the north-adjoining No. 6 Mill. Although the Nashua Manufacturing Company ceased operations in 1948 and sold the Site to the Nashua Textile Company in 1950, the Site building use remained similar through 1955. In 1960, Barrett & Gould Corporation bought the Site and operated a metal fabrication/stamping business in the Site building until the City of Nashua bought it in 1998. The Site building was demolished in December 2003 and turned into a parking lot.
