Additional Property Attributes

The building located at 108 North Main Street in Mooreland, Oklahoma is an inactive facility that will be remodeled and possibly used as a childcare facility. On May 12, 2023, a Phase I TBA was completed. Even though the Phase I did not have RECs, the City of Mooreland plans to reuse the subject property as a daycare facility. Due to its intended reuse, DEQ would like to ensure the tap water is free from lead, soil is safe for children's play areas and there are no impacts to indoor air quality from neighboring industry. Additionally, based on the age of the original building, lead-based paint and asbestos are also a concern. There are plans for a Phase II to be completed soon. According to the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment prepared by Enercon: "...This assessment has revealed no evidence of RECs, Controlled RECs (CRECs), Historical RECs (HRECs) or Vapor Encroachment Conditions (VECs) in connection with the subject property...". The City is no longer purchasing the building and a Phase II will not be conducted (at this time).
