Additional Property Attributes

The Subject Property consists of one legal parcel occupying approximately 88.84 acres. The Subject Property is currently a vacant woodland recently utilized for logging. Since 1938, the Subject Property has been woodland with various trails and unpaved roads. A dump area was identified on the north central portion of the Subject Property by the mid-1950s. The dump area was identified as a detergent waste disposal site in 1986. Decomposed fiber drums were identified on the Subject Property. One groundwater sample was collected to assess the former dumping activities, and the site was delisted. The Subject Property became part of the Muskegon County Wastewater Management System in the early 1970s but has remained vacant woodland.

Phase II ESA activities consisted of the completion of seven test pit excavations at the Subject Property. 2-Methynaphthalene and naphthalene concentrations in soil sample TP-7 were identified above the EGLE GRCC; therefore, the Subject Property is a "facility".
