Additional Property Attributes

This parcel has Tanks ID number ST0009669. It was acquired by LRA on December 17, 1997 for CDA and Operation Impact. It is zoned F - Neighborhood Commercial and is in the 8th Ward. The site housed a two-story drug store as early as 1903, and a filling station with two underground storage tanks from roughly 1951 to 1980; there is no indication that the tanks were ever removed. The filling station was demolished in 1988.

This site was a gas station with two underground gasoline storage tanks from at least 1951 through 1980. There are no records stating that the tanks have ever been removed.

Benzene, Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons-Gasoline Range Organics, and total xylenes exceed the Department's residential and non-residential Risk-Based Target Levels in the soil at the site. Further investigation into the contamination is recommended.
