Additional Property Attributes

The Subject Property buildings are occupied by various tenants and used for office, residence, storage, and commercial purposes, with the exception of 5855-5867 Southeast Foster Road which is currently vacant. Mr. Froman is interested in purchasing the site and the Phase I environmental site assessment was conducted for due diligence as a part of that process. Mr. Froman is very interested in maintaining and restoring old architecture in the neighborhood and is buying the properties to that end. All of the retail buildings are over 70 yrs old. The oldest, from 1908, is 115 years old. Some are currently vacant and falling into disrepair. Another lot would be developed into mixed commercial and residential space. This project would create, restore, and preserve commercial space for small businesses in the neighborhood, helping to foster economic prosperity in a location in need. Preserving and restoring these buildings would help preserve Portland's history and help maintain character, continuity, and sense of place for the surrounding neighborhood. It would also rehabilitate vacant and underutilized space in the neighborhood, aiding in economic revitalization and creating space for small businesses to start and to thrive.
