Additional Property Attributes

A portion of the site operated as a landfill from approximately 1977 until 1990. The landfill is unlined. It accepted dirt, rock, residual wood wastes, non-putrescible inert industrial waste, asbestos (in a designated area), demolition and construction waste, and tires. The facility closed in 1990 under Washington Adminstrative Code 173-304. An engineered cap was installed and approved by Southwest Washington Health District and Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology). Post-closure monitoring has included groundwater, surface water, gas, and leachate. Additional data is needed to understand environmental conditions prior to ending post-closure care. The site is listed in Ecology's cleanup site database as ID 3678 for metals and phenolic compound contamination in soil, groundwater, and surface water. The current property owner is interested in selling the property. The desired reuse is unknown at this point. The property is located in an area that has undergone significant development in the past 5 years.
