Additional Property Attributes

The Subject Property consists of one legal parcel occupying approximately 1.74 acres. The Subject Property exists as vacant land with the exception of a stormwater pond near the northern property line.

The Subject Property exists as vacant land associated with the adjoining southern foundry prior to 1955 when a parking lot for employees of the Campbell, Wyant & Cannnon Foundry (CWC) was constructed on the Subject Property. By 1969, the original parking lot was no longer identified, and by 1997 a new parking lot was constructed. The Subject Property existed as a parking lot through 1986 and was cleared by 1997. The Subject Property has existed as vacant land since at least 1997.

Chromium (total), copper, and mercury were identified in soil at concentrations exceeding Part 201 GRCC during the November 2023 Phase II ESA investigation. In addition, there were no VOCs in soil gas samples detected above EGLE Volatilization to Indoor Air Pathway Screening Levels. Therefore, based on the Phase II ESA, the Site is considered a facility.
