Additional Property Attributes

The Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development (PAID) currently owns the Receiving Station and Barracks at 4801 S. 12th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19112 in the Navy Yard. The site is located on approximately 3.32 acres and consists of four structures known as Buildings 104, 608, 640, and 651. In accordance with the 2022 Update to the Philadelphia Navy Yard Plan, the entire site will be renovated and repurposed, capitalizing on the Navy Yard's continued growth and success. The Navy Yard is home to approximately 15,000 jobs spread over 7.5 million square feet. Upon full build out, Navy Yard operations are anticipated to employ close to 27,000 people across nearly 9 million square feet and generate over $7.4B annually, or nearly 7% of Philadelphia's economy.

The Barracks Building is anticipated to be redeveloped into a hotel, which will bring quality jobs and commercial life to a former industrial and vacant area of the Navy Yard.

PIDC-LDC subgranted the funds to PAID who used them for direct cleanup of the site.
