Additional Property Attributes

The 11.06-acre Site is located at the end of Hospital Road, east of River Road and west of Ridgeview Street, adjacent to Purdue Extension Perry County Office, with the surrounding area being heavily wooded. The Site was initially developed in the 1940s as the Perry County Infirmary until approximately 1960 when additions to the existing structure and surrounding buildings were constructed. A fully functional hospital operated on the Site from the 1960s until approximately 2016, when a new hospital was constructed at a different The former hospital building and ancillary buildings are all currently vacant and in a state of decay as vandalism and scrap metal theft has destroyed the building's interior.
