Additional Property Attributes

The former HealthCo Clinic property is located at 986 Manson-Axtell Road at the former municipality of Soul City (now a part of Norlina) in Warren County, North Carolina. The property is approximately 1.66 acres and developed with an approximately 9,838 square foot former medical office building. The building shows signs of vandalism including broken windows and damaged walls. Land use at the Subject Property has been confirmed by historical resources back to 1937, when the Subject Property appears to have been undeveloped and/or used for agricultural purposes. The Subject Property appears to have been first developed with a medical office building in 1979, and an addition to the building appears to have been constructed between 1998 and 2004. The property previously operated as HealthCo Inc. but has been vacant for several years. No recognized environmental conditions (RECs), controlled recognized environmental conditions (CRECs), or significant data gaps were identified during performance of the Phase I ESA. The property is currently owned by Mr. Thomas K Hawkins (deceased) & wife Mrs. Pamela W Hawkins. The Hawkins purchased the property from First-Citizens Bank & Trust in November 30, 2015, after the property was seized via foreclosure. Future use for the property has not yet been determined.
