Additional Property Attributes

The site is located at 133 Main Street, tax parcel number 1512 138 23. The total site area is approximately 0.07 acres and consists of a two-story building. The site is currently vacant but has most recently been used as a commercial structure (Disco Ds Warehouse). In the earliest aerial photograph reviewed (1937), the subject property consists of a commercial building to the north and grassed area to the south. The subject property remains relatively unchanged in the remaining aerial images and topographic maps.

At the time of site reconnaissance, the site was observed to consist of a single story and a two-story onsite building. Second story access was not available at the time of the reconnaissance. During the site reconnaissance, two fill ports for underground storage tanks (USTs) were observed on and/or immediately adjacent to the subject property, along Main Street. No information about these tanks was identified during the course of this Phase I ESA. The presence of the UST systems are deemed to be a REC. Two trash/debris burning areas were identified. Due to the likely presence of lead-based paint and/or asbestos in the onsite building materials these burning areas are also deemed to be RECs.

According to the Sumter County Tax Assessor, the site at 133 Main Street was owned by John W Ferguson from 1981 to 1982 when it was transferred via old sale to Mikki S Ferguson. It was then transferred via old sale to Patricia Ann Brown in 1986. The site was gifted to Frank Brown in 1989 and sold to Willie E Walker in 1998. The current property owner Robert Jones was gifted the property in 2021.

The future plans for the site would include redevelopment.
