Additional Property Attributes

The 3.8-acre Subject Property consists of one parcel identified by Herkimer County Tax Assessor as 120.45-1-20.1. The property consists of an asphalt parking lot with a fenced perimeter. Municipal water, sewer, electric, and natural gas connections are available in the vicinity of the Subject Property.

The Subject Property is currently vacant with no operations. The asphalt parking lot is in poor condition with vegetation growing in cracks. A vaulted non-potable water supply well (Well #5) is present within the parking area. This well currently supplies all required water for the Remington Arms Steam Plant (off-site). Few small polyethylene-covered soil piles are present on-site. The site contact stated that soil piles were stockpiled on-site from a previous soil cleanup near Remington Arms Buildings 44 and 48 (off-site). The Site contact stated that soil was previously characterized for off-site disposal, however, waste characterization data was not available for HRP's review. Specific contaminants associated with the previous soil cleanup are unknown. With the exception of the soil piles, no other evidence of ground disturbance, storage or disposal of waste materials or dumping, or other evidence of potential releases of oil or hazardous materials was observed.
