Additional Property Attributes

The 0.41-acre Subject Property consists of one parcel identified by Herkimer County Tax Assessor as 119.36-1-13.3. Improvements include one approximately 100 sq ft one-story building constructed of concrete block on concrete piers. Municipal water, sewer, electric, and natural gas connections are available in the vicinity of the Subject Property.

The Subject Property is improved with one small one-story structure and an inactive electrical substation. According to Wendy Penny, Village of Ilion clerk, the substation was decommissioned 20 to 30 years ago. The parcel consists of a grassy area with a tree-lined perimeter to the north, south, and west. The substation is surrounded by a chain link fence. No evidence of petroleum or hazardous substances were observed on the parcel, and no evidence of other historical uses were observed during site reconnaissance.
The Subject Property was originally developed with two railroad spurs between at least 1925 and 1989, with railroad track(s) located adjacent to the south. Prior to 1942 the Subject Property was developed with two small one-story structures of unknown usage. The structures were razed in approximately 1956. In 1995, the Subject Property was improved with a small electrical substation and a one-story building on piers.
