Additional Property Attributes

The Cuyahoga County Land Reutilization Corporation proposes to assess 2 abandoned, tax foreclosed lots, 1.79 acres combined, that were formerly a manufacturing facility and American Recycling Company. No structures remain on either parcel. The adjacent Hillson Nut Company is proposing to expand onto the adjacent abandoned lots, and the Cuyahoga County Land Reutilization Corporation is requesting brownfield assistance to conduct a Phase I and limited Phase II for due diligence and preparation of redevelopment plans. Pending the results of the assessment, the County plans to clean up any soil and groundwater issues. U.S. EPA funding anticipated to be sought for cleanup with information from supplemental phase II. Project moving forward with ODOD grant funding for cleanup. Cuyahoga County Land Reutilization Corporation was awarded a $500,000 FY24 USEPA Brownfields Cleanup for this site.
