Additional Property Attributes

Approximately 88% of Navarro students are economically disadvantaged, 82% are English Language Learners, and 14% have special education needs. Of the 1,649 students, 89% are Hispanic, 6% African American, 3% White, and 2% Asian. Navarro is located in CT 48453001805 that is considered disadvantaged in the EPA's Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool.
The existing school building will be modernized, including improvements to career and technical education (CTE) spaces, outdoor learning spaces, a school mental health center and athletic field/locker room upgrades., with approximately $61.5M in 2022 AISD bond funds. The modernizations were identified and developed through community planning using an 'Equity by Design' framework, which seeks to understand historical issues and identify root causes in order to more effectively address the challenges facing underserved communities.
