Additional Property Attributes

This property was developed as the De Queen Medical Center Hospital in 1968. The facility closed in 2019 and the property is currently held by the Arkansas Commissioner of State Lands Office due to unpaid taxes.

The Southwest Arkansas Planning and Development District (SWAPDD) applied to the Arkansas Brownfield Program to obtain a Phase I ESA, asbestos and lead-based paint surveys to determine potential cleanup costs prior to redevelopment. Potential reuse options include marketing the facility to a healthcare provider or demolishing the existing building to allow for another reuse.
