Additional Property Attributes

This site is a former hospital for Pike County. The County obtained the land from private individuals in 1958 and built the hospital. In 2009, the hospital closed. In 2010, the property was sold to a private hospital group but the hospital never reopened. The property was transferred back to Pike County in 2012.

Limited sampling has confirmed the presence of asbestos-containing materials in the building. Additional sampling for lead paint, and a Phase I ESA, will be required. Pike County would like to use the property as a recovery center.
