Additional Property Attributes

The Garfield Elementary School building was built in 1941 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. It is the longest continually-operating elementary school in Arkansas, but closed at the end of the 2023-2024 school year. Due to the age of the building, potentially hazardous building materials are suspected.

The school was part of the Rogers School District. The City of Garfield is a prospective purchaser interested in taking title of the property to use it as a community space.
