Additional Property Attributes

This property is part of the Garfield Elementary School and is currently used for 4th and 5th grade classrooms. The building is believed to have been built around 1921 and was used as the original school building before the Garfield Elementary School building was constructed in 1941. The school will close at the end of the 2023-2024 school year. The property is currently owned by the Rogers School District. The City of Garfield has expressed an interest in acquiring the property for community and potential commercial use. A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment was performed with Asbestos and Lead-Based Paint Inspections, and no RECs or contaminants of concern were found.
