Additional Property Attributes

The Site comprises approximately 0.62 acres of commercial land on the north side of Shore Center Drive, which provides access to and from the Site. The Site is vacant land with a parking lot on the southern portion of the Site. The structure was built in the late 1950s and appears to have always been a dry cleaner. Eventually, it was redeveloped as a bar and restaurant was incorporated. A fire caused significant damage in 2012; the cleaners closed a couple of years later. The structure has been demolished. Phase I investigation revealed RECs, CRECs, HRECs, and IAs associated with the Site's past use as a dry cleaner; it is anticipated to have VOCs. During the Phase II investigation, groundwater ranged from 8 ft bgs to 15 in the soil borings. No VOCs were detected in soil samples above laboratory detection limits. Cis-1,2-dichloroethene was detected in 1 groundwater sample but did not exceed the U.S. EPA VISL target groundwater concentrations for residential and commercial/industrial land uses. Several VOCs were detected above U.S. EPA VISL residential and commercial/industrial regulatory standards in several soil gas samples collected. No off-site soil gas samples had reported concentrations above U.S. EPA VISL target sub-slab and near-source soil gas concentration residential or commercial/ industrial regulatory standards.
