Additional Property Attributes

Rutland Free Library is located in an 1858 building originally constructed as a post office and courthouse and converted to a library in 1935. Expansions in 1965 and 1988 increased the space to 25,000 sf. Subsequent work has been limited to major repairs that have not addressed underlying accessibility issues or potential safety issues resulting from materials used in the initial construction of the building.
