Additional Property Attributes

The property is a 0.33-acre commercial lot located in a primarily commercial area of downtown Billings. The property is relatively flat and contains one large 3-story brick structure with a basement that was originally constructed circa 1910. Additionally, there is an old railroad spur on the south end of the property that is no longer in use. The property was used as a hardware store from the time it was constructed until approximately 1980. From 1980 to 1996 it was used for other commercial businesses such as an appliance store and school supply store. The building has been vacant since 1996. Potential redevelopment plans include a mixed-use building with commercial businesses on the first floor and basement with residential units on the upper two floors. Ideally, the building will be restored to maintain its historic nature while being an energy-efficient & sustainable building.
