Additional Property Attributes

Peace Lutheran Church is partnering with a nonprofit to provide housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. HomeAid Austin is a non-profit working with service providers to build dignified housing for neighbors who are at risk or experiencing homelessness. HomeAid is working with Peace Lutheran Housing Ministry and Foundation for the Homeless on a project at 10625 N FM 620, in north Austin. The plans are for renovations to the Church's unused former preschool building to provide temporary housing for families transitioning out of homelessness.
The church is concerned that the building may have asbestos. Although the building was built in 2000, to demolish the structure, they need an asbestos survey documenting that there is no asbestos present, or they have abated any asbestos. Since asbestos still exists in building materials today, it is possible that the building was built using asbestos containing materials. An Asbestos Survey, Report, and Cleanup plan is being undertaken for this project.
The FSP was submitted for EPA review. The asbestos survey did not identify any asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in the building materials. A cleanup plan/project specifications are not needed for this property.
