Additional Property Attributes

The subject
property comprises 0.89 acres and is developed with one vacant commercial structure
constructed in the 1930s, one single-family residential structure constructed in the 1940s, and
undeveloped land. The subject property is approximately 1.4 miles south of downtown Rock Hill
in an area that is primarily developed for residential/commercial uses and undeveloped land. The subject property consisted of undeveloped land,
vacant land, a commercial structure with associated structures, and residential structures until
the late 1990s. In the early 2000s, the subject property consisted of a vacant commercial
structure, a residential structure, and undeveloped land. The EDR Report identified the subject property located at 1224 Saluda Street as Roadside
Market Service Station (Facility ID 12200) with the following listings: Leaking Underground
Storage Tank (LUST), Underground Storage Tank (UST), Groundwater Contamination Inventory
(GWCI), UST Finder, UST Finder Release, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Non-
Generators/No Longer Regulated (NonGen/NLR), Facility Index System/Facility Registry System
(FINDS), Enforcement & Compliance History Information (ECHO), and Recovered Government
Archive (RGA LUST). The facility utilized two steel single-wall 2,000-gallon gasoline USTs, which
were abandoned by removal in 1989. A LUST release was reported in January 1992, and cleanup
started in July 2003; however, the LUST incident is still open. The responsible party identified for
the petroleum release is Hilliard Dozier. The GWCI, UST Finder, UST Finder Release, and RGA
LUST listings are associated with the UST and LUST listings. The RCRA NonGen/NLR listing is a
non-generator with no violations, and the FINDS and ECHO listings are associated with the RCRA.
