Additional Property Attributes

The site is home to the Sycamore Child Care Center. The owner was going to renovate the original building structure built in 1956 and a structural engineer indicated the building had severe structural issues that would be expensive to address. Therefore, a demolition was suggested for the building. The childcare center built a new building alongside the original building and vacated the original building in February 2024. A phase I was completed on 7/25/24 and no RECS other than possible asbestos-containing material was noted. An Asbestos inspection was completed on 9/24/24 which found ACM above statewide standard limits in the following building materials: floor tile, ceiling spray, and basement kitchen sink. No asbestos was detected in the roof samples. ACM will need to be abated before demolition of the building structure.
