Additional Property Attributes

The Subject Property is comprised of 54.053 acres of municipally-owned land situated just north of State Route 327, which provides access to the Subject Property. The Subject Property is primarily undeveloped wooded land, but the eastern portion of the Subject Property is developed with a 2,720-square-foot multi-use storage building currently used as a fire training facility. The southeast and southwest portions of the Subject Property appear to have been strip-mined before the first available aerial photograph dated 1939. The database report indicated that the Subject Property was used as a landfill between 1945 and 1969 and aerial photographs from the 1960s exhibit evidence of filling on the southeast portion of the Subject Property likely related to landfilling operations. The Subject Property contact indicated that landfilling was also performed on the west portion of the Subject Property although evidence of this was not observed on aerial photographs. A lumber mill was constructed on the southeast portion of the Subject Property before 1983 and was no longer present by 1995. The City of Wellston also recently used the Subject Property for residential yard waste disposal and recycling. A fire training facility was constructed on the southeast portion of the Subject Property before 2017.
