Additional Property Attributes

This property was formerly a gas station along Okemah's main street - Broadway Ave. The gas station had two USTs, one 3,000-gallon tanks and one 4,000-gallon tank. Both were removed in 1998, and the OCC Petroleum Storage Tank Division issued a closure letter after deciding there was no contaminants of concern based on vapor monitoring well data. However, given 1) the nearly 30 years that have elapsed since the removal, 2) the station's proximity to other out of use stations, 3) the fact that no soil or groundwater sample data accompanied the original removal, and 4) the pending real estate transaction, it is worth conducting a Phase II investigation to confirm that the chemical levels are decreasing and still below risk-based action levels for the new use.
