Additional Property Attributes

The Subject Property was developed with the historic Lemaire Grocery Store in approximately 1885. The Lemaire Grocery Store building is one of the oldest buildings in Battle Mountain. The building has also been used as the community center for the town of Battle Mountain, women's suffrage meetings, fundraising events, and other activities. Prior to the store's existence, the site is presumed to have been undeveloped land. Lander County Convention & Tourism Authority (LCCTA) purchased the Subject Property in 2021. LCCTA's plan is to restore the building using other federal funding sources. Once restored, the building will accommodate a small business incubator, meetings, and art performances.
