Additional Property Attributes

The site is approximately 2.94 acres in area and consists of three parcels and a portion of a fourth parcel as indicated above. The site is currently being re-parceled. A drive-through ATM structure (not in service) is present in the east-central portion of the site. The remainder of the site is developed as an asphalt-paved parking lot.

From at least 1895 to the early 1940s, the site was fully developed with residential and commercial buildings. By the mid-1940s, the northeastern portion of the site was redeveloped with a used auto sales facility. The paved lot associated with the used auto sales facility was extended south in the 1960s and 1970s. Commercial occupants of potential environmental concern included: Un Insecticide Company (1910); Wilson Machine Company (1915); A.C. Warnke (auto supplies) (1925); National Opal Sign Paint & Glass Company (1930); Warnke Tire Supply Company (1930); Loo Ying (laundry) (1930 to 1935); ; Jim White Chevrolet Co. (used cars) (1945 to 1965); Stovall's KAK Cleaners and Dyers (1950); Toledo Generators Service, Inc (1955); Albert Summers (clothes cleaner) (1955); Tri-City Private Police (1959); Ivy Clean (clothes cleaner) (1960); Floyd Dugan Chevrolet ( used cars) (1969); Jack Lownsbury Chevrolet (used cars) (1976); and Will Dennis Chevrolet (used cars) (1979 to 1980). In the 1970s and early 1980s, 15th Street and the remaining buildings in the western portion of the site were demolished, and the area redeveloped as a parking lot. One building (1416 Washington Street) remained in the southern portion of the site until the early 1980s. Since the 1980s, the site has been developed as a parking lot, with a drive-through automated teller machine (ATM) in the east-central portion (currently
not in service).
