Additional Property Attributes

The former Diamond Asphalt property was used as a refinery for asphalt products from the 1930s to the 1970s. Surface and subsurface soil and groundwater have been impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons, VOCs, and SVOCs. A former gas station was identified to be located on the property during a 2022 site recon. Due to the presence of a dispenser island and two large magnetic anomalies within 5 feet of dispenser island it was determined that USTs were likely present. A large underground oil water separator located near the pump house contained free product. Significant soil staining is present throughout the site property. Buried waste (crushed and partially buried drums) is present throughout the site. START recommended a Phase II to address RECs and VECs identified in the Phase I report.
