Additional Property Attributes

This property is situated west of downtown Billings at the southwestern corner of N 8th Street W & Yellowstone Avenue. The property is located in a primarily residential neighborhood and is surrounded by residential homes in all directions. The on-site commercial structure was originally constructed in 1948 and appears to have been added to several times. The property was historically used as a meat processing, packaging, and storage facility. The business has not operated for several decades now, and the owner has only been using the building for personal storage and projects such as woodworking. The structure is in disrepair and was condemned by the City of Billings. The City plans to acquire the property, demolish the building, and redevelop the lot into something beneficial for the community such as a greenspace or affordable housing.
