REC: Findings Finding: This site is listed in the EDR Historical Cleaner Database and city directories as clothes pressing and cleaning facility in 1932 and 1937. In addition, a structure is depicted in the 1918 the Sanborn maps as a clothes cleaner. Historical dry-cleaning operations may have involved the use of petroleum-based solvents, which was common in the industry during this period. Opinion: Given the history of dry-cleaning activities (almost 20 years), up-gradient groundwater direction, and the distance to the Subject Property, this listing constitutes a REC on the Subject Property.
