Additional Property Attributes

The building was built in 1909 as mixed use retail and commercial office space. At some point the upper level office space was converted into residential apartments. NHA purchased the property in 1999 and has used it as mixed use affordable senior housing with ground floor retail since then. The site is currently owned and operated by Northwest Housing Alternatives (NHA) as mixed use commercial/residential with first floor retail and 90 units of affordable housing for seniors at 30% AMI or less on the upper stories. NHA is undertaking a major building renovation. Renovation include repair/maintenance of the building envelope, updating the HVAC and heating and cooling systems, improvements to energy efficiency, repair of basement water intrusion issue, and much more. Environmental Site Assessment is required ahead of renovations. Once renovations are completed, the building will continue to serve as affordable senior housing at the same current levels of service.
