Additional Property Attributes

The Property is developed with a vacant two-story commercial/industrial building with a walk-out basement (approximately 46,254 square feet, not including the basement). A one-story garage is located on the southeast side of the building. The remainder of the Property is fenced vegetated land. The Property is currently unoccupied. The Property has been used for commercial/industrial operations since construction of the current building in 1924. Prior occupants of the Property include: The Shott Manufacturing Co. bed springs (1925-1983), Gibson Refrigerator Co. (1925-1930), Advanced Decalcomania Co. (1940-1974), Chicago Decal Co. (1979), Borman Engraving Company (1983-1992) and MDM Graphics (1992-1995). The Property was used as a salvage lot/junk yard from 2016-2023. The building at the Property was observed to be in poor condition during Property reconnaissance, with various debris/solid waste throughout the building interior and exterior. The building itself is structurally sound and is of historical importance and future use of the property includes redevelopment of the existing building.
