Additional Property Attributes

The Subject Property consists of a s previously developed as a creosote wood treating plant located in northern central New Mexico, approximately 25 miles east of Taos, New Mexico, at an elevation of approximately 8,350 feet (ft) above mean sea level (MSL). The site is located adjacent to the east of Highway 64 and adjoins the local municipal airport of Angel Fire to the east. The site is no longer in use for wood-treatment activities, nor on-site composting. In 2019, the site was used for storage of horse-led wagon and sleigh ride related equipment.

The Phase II ESA found that the groundwater throughout the property has been impacted by benzo(a)anthracene, benzo(a)pyrene, benzo(b)fluoranthene, and pentachlorophenol. Further risk evaluation and/or corrective actions based on the actual use of the first encountered groundwater at the site are recommended.
