Additional Property Attributes

The subject property was developed by at least 1913 for residential and commercial purposes. A tin shop occupied the northern portion of the property (11905-11909 Buckeye Road), and a paint shop was on the southern portionalong Buckeye Road. A sizeable commercial hardware store with an oil and paints shop was present by at least 1926, and the previous tin shop was replaced with a furniture store. The furniture store was replaced with an auto body repair shop in 1963 and remained on the subject property until approximately 1973. By 1952, a tin shop was developed on the adjoining 11913 Buckeye Road property and remained on the parcel until it was razed in approximately 1963. The adjacent property has remained as a commercial parking lot since that time. The 7,456-square-foot building will bring three apartments and one (1) commercial unit back into operation with modern amenities while preserving the historic qualities of the building. Soil has been impacted by arsenic at concentrations exceeding the Ohio VAP Residential Land Use standard and Cuyahoga County background level for arsenic.
